Card Workshop in support of Light the Night - Jackson

Hi folks,

Following up to my previous post about the samples I have made for my card workshop, here are a few more featuring the Close To My Heart Jackson Papers. I've made other cards similar to these earlier this year and I still have some of them on hand to show folks some other variations they could do with these layouts.

Card Workshop in Support of Light the Night - Blossom

Hi folks,

As those of you who have been visitors for some time now know, for the last few years I have taken part in the Light the Night Walk in support of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada in honour of my Mom who is a survivor of Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma.

I keep intending to host a card making workshop (or two) to help with my fund-raising but I never seem to get around to it. This year, I hope to change all that.

These are some of the card samples using the Close To My Heart Blossom Card Making Kit that I have prepped in the hopes that some of my friends who have been clamouring for a workshop will want to come along and support this worthy cause. I've made a copy of the three cards from the workshop but I have also made my own variation of each card to show folks that they CAN change things up.

Viva La Verve - July 2015 Week 2

Hi folks,

Well, I have taken a long break from playing along with the Viva La Verve Sketches but I'm hoping to get back to playing along more regularly.

Here's a card I made using the July 2015 Week 2 Sketch for a dear friend celebrating her birthday. She's heading off to Jamaica shortly and I though this card would match perfectly her birthday present for me (which she is taking with her).

I had a lot of fun with this card, pulling out a bunch of embellishments from my stash.

card details:

  • finished size: 6 x 6 inches, kraft cardstock base, CTMH Colonial White mat
  • patterned paper: CTMH Seaside
  • stamp: CTMH Blossom Cardmaking Workshop
  • embellishments: paper doily, jute bow, burlap ribbon, pom pom ribbon all from my stash

Mojo Monday 407

Hi folks,

Just stopping in to share a graduation card and tin I made for the daughter of a dear friend of mine. She's a remarkable young woman and I am sure that she will succeed in whatever she decides to pursue in life.

Sketch Saturday 372 with Poppy & Zoe

Hi folks,

As promised I'm back with another of my creations using the new Zoe collection from CTMH. This is another of my card and tin combos - for another of dearly beloved's nieces. I didn't actually get to go to her big summer time pool party birthday bash - but dearly beloved made the trip.

You might notice the layout of this card looks a lot like the previous one. Well, it IS the same layout. I actually made this card first though. Trying to get back into my rhythm of making at least two of a card when I sit down to play.

Here's a photo of just the card:

And, of course, the matching gift $$$ tin, outside and inside:
