Viva La Verve November 2012 - Week 1

Hi folks,

seriously...where the heck did November go? I can't believe another month has gone by so quickly. So quickly that tonight I sat down and did ALL of my cards for the November Viva La Verve Sketch Challenges over on Splitcoaststampers. I just haven't been able to make time for crafting at all this month....sigh.

Anyways, here is the Week 1 Sketch

and here is my card:

I know - I feel terrible that I am STILL working on my thank you cards for everyone who so generously donated to the Light the Night Walk this year. But, at least I am getting them done, albeit a bit later than I would have liked.

November SFYTT

Hi folks,

just a quick post as I have to pop out to the vet with kitty #2 - seems he has developed the same cold that kitty #1 has had for the last five days. Ewww....cat sneezes!

I finally sat down to make a card for the November SFYTT challenge last night - I needed a birthday card for today so it worked out quite nicely!

Here's the sketch

and here's my card:

I hope the birthday boy likes it!

Happy Birthday Little Buddy

Hi folks,

I still have not been finding time to get into my craft room as much as I would like - but I did squeeze in the time today to make a card for the cutest little boy. He will be two tomorrow and I plan to give this birthday card along with his prezzie.

Hockey Oliver, eh!

Hi folks,

wow! Long time no crafty! It seems like even though I've had the best of crafty intentions the last few weeks, something always comes up to keep me from getting crafty. Today I did find time to get inky - I had taken the day off to take care of some cat issues and while kitty was at the vet, I played in the craft room.

Tomorrow is another family birthday celebration - dearly beloved's eldest nephew. I picked up this image from Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps some time ago, with him in mind. What can I say? Canada - hockey is a favourite sport.

card details:

Now I'm not sure if I CAN/SHOULD enter this card for the most recent challenge over at SCRS. The SCRS Challenge #92 is a colour challenge that uses grey, green, light blue and dark blue. Now that's how this card started out - why I chose the papers that I chose - they have all those colours. HOWEVER, I couldn't leave well enough alone and just HAD to add that pop of red for his uniform. Ummmm...maybe I'll enter it anyway and let the DT decide if my extra pop of colour is a little too much...

Thanks for stopping by!
