Merriest Wishes

Hi folks,

This year I broke with tradition and actually took the days between Christmas and New Year off from work.

I'm hoping to get in a bit of paper-crafting (for the January birthdays) but for now I am still sharing Christmas cards.

These are my take on the cards you can make using the supplies in the CTMH Merriest Wishes card-making kit.

Christmas Cards for the PJ Crop Card Exchange

Hi folks!

Every year around this time, there is a crop at Algonquin College here in Ottawa. I've been attending pretty much since the beginning - it's the one crop I make sure to attend every year.

Something new the last couple of years is that attendees can sign up to take part in a Christmas card exchange. We each make 10 cards and the participants swap with each other - so we all come home with 10 different cards! It's always fun!

These are the cards I made this year. Simple (I rushed to make them the night before) but I think pretty.

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year - Take Two!

Hi folks,

I'm back today to share another Beary Christmas card inspired by the same workshop as yesterday's card.

This is another one that is quick and easy to whip up - and is an easy to mail one. No extra postage required!

Once again, I used the Beary Christmas Cardmaking Stamp set and embellished with some red enamel gems from my stash.

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year

Hi folks,

Yes - I'm still posting Christmas cards even though it's more than two months away yet! Get started early and there isn't a rush closer to Christmas!

This card is another clean and simple one featuring the CTMH Beary Christmas papers. Again, inspired by the cards in a 10 card workshop that uses only one sheet of patterned paper and one sheet of each of three card stock papers.

The original design for this card did not have a sentiment on the front but I thought it needed it. so, I just added the sentiment from the Beary Christmas Card Making Stamp Set in addition to the wreath on the centre panel.

Happy Holidays

Hi folks,

Back again today to share another card inspired by the bonus cards from the Beary Christmas Scrapbooking WYW kit from CTMH.

I switched up the background paper - I used the snowy print instead of the light strings - and used red enamel gems as my embellishments instead of the green Beary Christmas dots as I have a LOT of those in my stash.

It works!

Joy

Hi folks,

Just sharing another Christmas card using the Beary Christmas papers from CTMH.

In case you are wondering, I used the Beary Christmas Cardmaking Stamp and Thin Cuts set to make the wreath and sentiment on this card. This card comes together very quickly. It's based on one of the optional cards you can make with the WYW Beary Christmas Scrapbooking Kit.

Happiest Holidays

Hi folks,

I'm back today to share another of the cards from the CTMH Merriest Wishes Cardmaking Workshop Your Way.

This was a fun one to make because - that tree patterned paper is actually custom-created using the stamps that come in the kit! I love it! I used the three different green inks recommended in the kit along with a red ink and - Voila! My own paper!

Merriest Wishes

Hi folks,

As you can tell from my last couple of posts, I've been working my way through the Workshop Your Way Kits in the current Holiday Expressions Idea Book from CTMH.

Today I'm sharing a card from the Merriest Wishes cardmaking WYW Kit.

I quite like the simple but pretty design of this one. Just the right amount of sparkle. The design is not TOO dimensional - making it great for mailing out purposes.

As always, thanks for stopping by!

If you are a frequent visitor, you know I am a card-maker so the first thing I look at when the new Holiday Expressions Idea Book is released are the ideas for Christmas cards.

I saw the Cut Above Tag Kit - Merry Everything and immediately set about coming up with ways to use the tag kit to make a bunch of this year's Christmas cards.

Here's the kit contents:

and the suggested tags you can make (with a couple of mini stamps)

And here are the TEN cards I made!

The first five feature the papers from the Silver and Gold Collection with a little ruby card stock to add a bit of pop.

These last five feature papers from the Beary Christmas Collection. Again, with some ruby and fern card stock to add a bit of pop.

In case you are wondering about the various embellishments and stamps I've used on these cards, here's a list:

Oh - and my cards are all 5 x 5 inch square.

Phew! Did you make it to the end of this post? Yay! Now I'll send you along your way to Diana.

If you get lost along the way, just pop over to Michelle S blog as she has the entire list of participants.
