Happy 1st Birthday

Hi folks,

Dearly beloved's youngest niece celebrated her first birthday recently and this is the card that I made for her.

It's kind of nice that our siblings and friends continue to have little ones - so I can keep colouring up cute little images like this for their birthdays.

  • finished size: 5 x 5 inches, white card stock base
  • patterned paper: Carta Bella "Alphabet Junction"
  • stamped image: The Greeting Farm "Alice Bean" coloured with Copic Markers (E000, E00, E01, E93, E21, E33, E31, E13, R81, R83, R85, R000)

Mojo Monday 364

Hi folks,

It's been a while since I played with the Mojo Monday sketches. Here's my take on Mojo Monday Sketch 364.

The first is a birthday card for my stash...

And the second, with a little variation in the layout, is an anniversary card for my parents. They are celebrating 45 years of marriage today!

Today I'm sharing a card I made for a co-worker who retired on Friday. He realized he didn't really NEED to work any longer so ... he isn't! He's retiring from the work force and planning on enjoying his summer and all that life has to bring. I though the sentiment I used on his card was perfect.

Sister Act Card Challenge #59 with All Dressed Up Stamps

Hi folks!

It's Friday so that means it is time for me to share my latest creation for our weekly "Anything Goes" card challenge over at the Sister Act Card Challenge!

As you probably know by now, the rules for joining in our weekly challenge are pretty simple - anything goes as long as it is a new card of your own creation! Just join in the fun by linking up to your blog post featuring your lovely creation and you will be in the running for the prize offered by this week's sponsor - All Dressed Up Stamps! I can't wait to check our your fabulous creations!

Be sure to also check out the All Dressed Up Stamps Challenge blog for some freebie images if you would like to try them before you buy them!

As it so happens, I used one of those freebies on today's card. I couldn't help myself. Now, everyone who knows me knows I'm a crazy cat lady. But seriously, who could resist this cute little puppy? Ermagerd. He's SO adorable! Especially with that big patch around his eye and his big floppy bow. I can just imagine his cute little tale wagging.

I think this would be a perfect card to welcome a new baby boy into the world. As it happens, friends of ours are expecting a baby boy in June. We've already had the baby shower but I'm sure I could pick up a little something else once baby arrives so I can have a reason to give this card to the new parents.

Clean And Simple with Skater Ian

Hi folks,

Back today to share a birthday card I made recently for dearly beloved's oldest nephew. He's a very active kid - into sports and the like, particularly hockey. But, since I've already made cards for him with all of my hockey player stamps, I pulled this oldie but goodie out of my binder of stamps from "The Greeting Farm" to make this Clean and Simple card for his birthday.

card details:

  • finished size: 5x5 inches, white card stock base, red card stock mat
  • patterned papers: Carta Bella "Beach Boardwalk"
  • stamped image: The Greeting Farm "Skater Ian", coloured with Copic Markers (E000, E00, E01, E93, B91, B93, B95, E21, E23, E25, YR04)
  • sentiment: Verve "Small Celebrations"

Birthday Wishes - SCRSC90

Hi folks,

I made time for me this weekend - an out of the house crafty day since I never seem to make it into my craft room when I plan to these days. I actually finished three cards - all with colouring on them, not just stamping!

Anyways, there's a few birthdays left to go in October and this is a card I made for one of them!

Doesn't Emily look stylish as she shops for all the greatest fashions (and hopefully bargains!)?

Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 169

Hi folks,

I'm still crazy busy but I am finally getting around to posting this card that I made for my sister for her birthday. She joined the over 40 club on October 7th but her card didn't reach her until this past Friday....I was a little late.

Mojo Monday 262

Hi folks,

long time no post! Believe it or not I HAVE been crafting but I just haven't had the time to post anything until today. I've been busy every night baking for a week long bake-sale I did every day at work as part of my fund-raising for the Light the Night Walk in support of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Anyways, the walk is tonight and I finally have a chance to sit down and post a few creations.

This card was made for a member of my weight loss group who is leaving the group because she is moving to a different area of the city and the commute would just be too long for her. We did a little collection for her and I volunteered to make a little card in which to put it.
