Hope it's a beautiful day wherever you are! Here in Ottawa the sun is out, shining brightly early this morning.

Well, it looks like my resolve to be better about posting my backlog of cards fell by the way-side -  yet again! Busy, busy! Keeping that in mind, it is almost a week later and I'm sharing the last two Mother's day cards I made this year, base on the Mojo Monday 342 sketch from back in April.


For the first card, I remained fairly faithful to the layout.

But for the second one I decided to play around a bit with the orientation and elements. I REALLY like this one.

Viva La Verve May Week 1

Well, I figure it's about time I started getting some of the huge back log of cards photos that I have made recently.

I HAD planned on posting this ON Mother's Day but the time got away from me and I am just now getting around to sharing a few cards I made for that occasion using the Viva La Verve Week 1 Sketch for May.

The first two cards, I did as landscape cards.

And for these two I stayed a little more loyal to the sketch.

January SFYTT - Let Christmas 2012 begin!

I know, I know. I'm starting my 2012 Christmas Cards and I haven't even taken down the Christmas tree yet. Yes, you ARE reading that correctly. It is January 15th and my Christmas tree is still up.

My rule is that it can't be taken down until after January 6th (old Christmas day)...but it has to be down before Valentine's day. Otherwise it becomes a Valentine's day tree.

I decided to use the January 2012 SFYTT layout for my first ten Christmas cards for 2012. Here's a pic of the sketch....

and here are my cards. All ten of them. All different - but using a mix of the same papers and four different polar bear images.

• patterned papers: Basic Grey Jovial
• stamped images: by Sunshine Designs from The Stamp Barn (CRS057CU lg). I picked this set up some time ago from Heather's Stamping Haven here in Ottawa. The images are coloured with PrismaColor pencils (because the cream coloured card stock isn't Copic friendly). PC925, PC916, PC938, PC918, PC911, PC904.

Bluebells for Mother's Day

So here is the card I was working on earlier tonight. Another of this year's Mother's Day cards.

I still have three more of these images already coloured up so you can bet you will see more cards using it.

• Spellbinders: Classic Squares (the image was cut using the out of the box technique so it would extend past the die cuts)
