Hi folks,
Well, if you tuned in to my Growing in Unity posts this week, you know that on Tuesday I made mention of another version of one of that day's featured cards featuring an {after dark} sentiment. Well - here it is!
Commenting on this post doesn't earn you an entry into the draw for the goodies from Unity for commenting on the GIU posts - but it is appreciated all the same!! But please do double-check that you commented on the five previous posts so that you qualify for the draw! Two winners will be announced on Monday!
As always, thanks for stopping by!

Growing in Unity - Day 2
Hi folks,
Welcome to my second day as the Growing in Unity gal this week.
Today I thought I would share <gasp> a masculine card! Yes, I know we are all big fans of the Angie girls and all the feminine images but did you know that Unity has masculine stamps as well? You betcha!
Do you have "Not Always ... But" in your collection yet? I do!
And here's the cards I have to share with you today featuring this set:
To me the image looks like an old style portrait so I decided it needed to be framed as such. I actually have a couple of feminine images in this style and I'm thinking I'll be making cards similarly styled to these with this sentiment.
Oh - I ALSO have the {after dark} sentiment that goes with this set as well. If you pop back on Saturday (not part of the hop), I'll share the card I made with THAT one!
Now don't forget - be sure to leave a comment on this post if you would like to be entered into a draw to win a grab bag of 25 random stamps from Unity at the end of the week! I have moderation enabled on the blog comments so don't be alarmed if you don't see your comment right away - it will be visible once I approve it!

May Cross Canada Blog Hop
Hi folks!
Welcome to our May Blog Hop featuring our favourite new paper collections. We have four new amazing and fun paper collections in the current Seasonal Expressions 2 Idea Book.
We have an amazing group of talented ladies all across Canada and they would sure love to hear from you. So, before you hopping along to the next stop in the hop, be sure to leave a comment about what you loved.
If you've arrived from Caroline's blog then you are in the right place. If you would like to start at the beginning of the hop and travel from East to West, you can start here.
As I may a LOT of masculine cards, I immediately fell in love with the Jack collection. Here's a peek at the paper pack.
I love, love, love those plaids!
With Father's Day coming next month, I put my Jack collection to good use making Father's Day cards. Note that all four of these cards are 6 x 6 cards.
For this first card, I was inspired by the layout on page 37 of the Seasonal Expressions 2 Idea Book. I think it translated very well from a scrapbook layout into a card sketch. I just replaced the photo image with the lumberjack die cut from the Jack scrapbooking stamp + Thin Cuts bundle and used the sentiments from the Jack cardmaking stamp + Thin Cuts bundle.
For the second card, I used the layout for one of the cards from the WYW Father's Day Cardmaking Kit with a black 6x6 card base.
For the third card, I once again took inspiration from a scrapbook page layout. This time from page 34 of the Seasonal Expressions 2 Idea Book. I switched up the papers but stuck with the colour blocking technique. And I just HAD to use that cute, cuddly bear from the Jack cardmaking stamp + Thin Cuts bundle.
And for my final card, I was inspired by one of the cards from the optional cardmaking project from the Jack WYW Scrapbooking kit. You can see those cards on page 39 of the Seasonal Expressions 2 Idea Book. For this card though, you can see that I used a different mix of papers from the one in the idea book. I REALLY wanted to use those trees, plaid and axe print papers.
Now, don't let my focus on Father's Day cards dissuade you from thinking that once Father's Day is done, that you won't be able to use the Jack collection. I'm already planning to re-make these cards as birthday cards. AND -- there's something about those plaids and the trees that have me thinking Christmas. Stay tuned! There might be Christmas cards coming from these papers!
To purchase any of the items you see along the hop today, be sure to get in touch with your local consultant.
Your next stop in the hop is Diana! I'm sure you will have a fantastic time over at her blog as well!
