Hi folks
It's been a couple of weeks since my last post so I figure it's time to share the second card I have made so far this year. That's right - still no card-making! Quilting instead!
This is a card I made for my dearly beloved for Valentine's day. The image and sentiment are from Unity Stamp Co, the papers are from Close To My Heart.
As always, thanks for stopping by!

Happy Valentine's Day
Hi folks,
Just popping in to share the card I made for my sweetie for Valentine's Day.
Excuse the slightly wonky heart. In retrospect, there WAS an easier way to make this card. But I wanted the cut-outs and not layers - and I have a bad habit of NOT taping down my dies when I run them through the machine. So - shifting sometimes occurs and I didn't really notice it until after I was editing the photo. Oh well! One of these days I WILL learn.

For Valentine's Day
Hi folks,
I hope everyone is having a lovely weekend. Now that Valentine's Day has come and gone, I can share this year's projects.
Up first are a few Valentine's Day Treat Bags that I sent off with my dearly beloved on Friday night to his D&D group.
I had forgotten that I had ordered them from Close To My Heart and when I finally opened my most recent box of goodies I figured I had better put them to use. The one in front was for dearly beloved - the rest went to his pals. He was a REAL sweetie and also picked up flowers for their DM when he got mine on his way to their evening of fun. She's the only woman in their little nerd herd.
Since I didn't use the mushy, lovey dovey stickers from the treat bag kit on the kisses I put in the treat bags for his friends, I put them on the kisses in the jar on the left below for my sweetie. He also likes jujubes so I had picked up some of those as well and decorated a second jar.
I do a LOT of canning so there are always empty jars in the basement and these were a quick little project to fill and decorate. I used papers from the Heartstrings Paper Pack from Close To My Heart.
And finally, the card I made for my sweetie.
I thought about using one of my punny stamps from Unity (I have quite a few that I have not used yet) but I wanted to stick with my tradition of making a CAS card with a bit of elegance. I quite like how this one turned out. Red, black and a bit of bling.

Hearts Galore
Hi folks!
(ETA: if you are looking for my Use it Tuesday post for March 12, please click through here)
You will have to forgive me and my flurry of Valentine's day cards that are about to be posted. I spent two nights this week making cards - four each night (a record for me) and I figure I will just go ahead and post them as time permits rather than drag them out over the next week.
This little cutie is for my youngest niece for Valentine's day.

Viva La Verve January 2013 - Week 5
Hi folks,
well my goal to make three cards for each of the weekly Viva La Verve Challenges didn't quite get past the second sketch of the year. For the last three sketches, I only found time to make one card for each sketch. So far anyways - but who knows? Maybe I will miraculously find time tomorrow night! But I doubt it.
Anyways, this is my card for the Week 5 sketch

- finished size: 4.25 x 5.5 inches, black card stock base, red card stock mat
- patterned paper: Martha Stewart Valentine's mat stack I picked up last year (or maybe the year before that?)
- stamps: Verve "Hearts on Fire". The central heart is actually a bigger heart from the set that I stamped twice onto the patterned paper and cut out. The first one to cover the smaller heart that is actually in the flourish and the second one is popped up with dimensional foam.
- bling it on: there are 19 wee little pearls on this card. 18 of them on the ends of curlicues on the flourish and then one more that I coloured with my R39 Copic marker to do the "I" in Valentine's.

TGF Friday Spy Day
Hi folks,
So are you sick of all my TGF Valentine's Day cards yet? What can I say? Between us, dearly beloved and I have eleven nieces and nephews and I find that I love using TGF stamps for their cards. Ten of them are getting TGF Valentine's this year - the eldest got a PWCO Valentine.
Here's another one for our youngest nephew.
If you are familiar with this Ian from the Dress Up set (now retired), you will notice that he isn't wearing his skully shirt. I punched out three tiny little hearts with a MS Heart Confetti punch and used them to cover it up. I thought the hearts were a better choice than a skull for a Valentine's Day card.

CPS 5th Anniversay - Day 5 Sketch
Hi folks,
back again with ANOTHER of the Valentine's Day cards for one of our nephews. You know what that means - it's another card featuring an image from The Greeting Farm.
Yes - it's the same image I used for one of our other nephews, coloured exactly the same - though I prefer the way the hair on this one turned. Funny how you can colour muliple images at the same time and they still turn out differently.
