Jeepers Creepers - September Featured Paper Collection

Hi folks,

Have you seen the new Jeepers Creepers collection from CTMH which just debuted in the new Holiday Expressions Idea Book?

Light-hearted and fun - that's what it is all about.

As usual, there's really only one double-sided paper that is Halloween-y  (the upper left with the silly monsters and googly eyes).  The rest are very versatile and can easily be used all year round. Actually, even the monster/googly eye paper makes for fantastic greeting cards all year round - as you can see in the Holiday Expressions Idea Book.

And do you have any Harry Potter fans in your house? Well check out that lightning bolt paper, the washi tape and sticker assortment.

And don't forget, if you just have to have it all, you can get the entire collection in the Jeepers Creepers Workshop Your Way - along with five sheets of coordinating card stock!

And I can't go without mentioning the Monstrous Thin Cuts bundle which coordinates beautifully with this collection.

I'm a big fan of coordinating stamps and dies - saves me the fussy cutting!

Of course, as a card-maker, I'm a big fan of the Party Time card-making kit that uses the Jeepers Creepers papers - it's NOT Hallowe'en themed!

Take a look at the cards from this workshop. Aren't they great?

And don't forget, if you want to see how other people are getting creative with the Jeepers Creepers collection, just search for #ctmhjeeperscreepers on your favourite social media site!

What up Wi'atch?

Hi folks,

So, did you all get crafty on World Card Making Day? I did! I put my mind to it and spent as much time in my craft room yesterday as I could. That really only boiled down to a few hours and since I was watching Breaking Bad at the same time...Well, I didn't get any mass production of cards completed.

But I did get inspired by Breaking Bad to make THIS card. If you are familiar with the show, you'll understand the twist on one of the main characters favourite phrases.

Tee hee! I'm still giggling. AND itching to get back to the craft room to watch the final two episodes of the series!

card details:

  • finished size: 5.5 x 5.5 inches, black card stock base, CTMH Thistle Card stock for sentiment mat
  • patterned paper: Close to My Heart "Scaredy Cat"
  • stamped image: The Greeting Farm "Spooky" Kit. The little witch is coloured with Copic Markers (YG0000, YG00, YG01, YR04, YR07, YR07, N2, N4, N6, N7, N8, BV000, BV02, BV04, BV00, BV01, V06, V04, V05). I used my Sakura Clear star Gelly Roll marker to add a little sparkle to her tiara and her staff. Then I used one of my Copic Multiliners to redraw the lines in her tiara so they were more visible since the sparkle kind of hid them.
  • sentiment: Close to My Heart July 2014 Stamp of the Month "Circus Alphabet", stamped in CTMH Thistle Ink
  • embellishments: black adhesive gem from my stash (in the centre of her tiara) and CTMH Black Enamel Stars from the Scaredy Cat Assortment
  • layout: Viva La Verve October 2014 Week 1 Sketch

The Sisterhood of Crafters - Fall/Hallowe'en - Oct 23

Hi folks,

It's Wednesday and you know what that means - I'm sharing my final creation as a Step Sister for The Sisterhood of Crafters! It has been such a treat to be creating along with the rest of the sisters these last two months. Thanks so VERY much to Darlene for asking me to play along with The Sisterhood.

Until November 3rd we would love to see you link up your Fall/Hallowe'en creations. That's right - just be sure to use your favourite Fall or Hallowe'en colours/designs on your project and join right in!

Since Hallowe'en is just around the corner, I decided to make a colourful CAS card for my sweetie to go with HIS Hallowe'en treats (yes, he IS just a big kid).

card details:

  • finished size: 4.25 x 5.5 inches, black card stock base
  • patterned papers: Recollection "Hallowe'en" mat stack
  • sentiment: Verve "Boo To You"
  • Spellbinders: Petite Circles
  • layout: Mojo Monday 309

Anni-Verve-sary ABC challenge

Hi folks,

back with the 5th and final challenge for the Anni-Verve-sary challenges from Verve Stamps.

hmmmm...what to make? what to make? I thought of doing a tag. I thought of doing a bookmark. I thought of doing a gift box. And then I spied my only Hallowe'en set of Verve stamps! And so I made this (or should I say, altered this)

A little gift tin for Hallowe'en treats! Of course, since there aren't any Hallowe'en candy in the stores yet I just filled it with orange tissue paper so you could see what it would look like if it WAS filled.

project details:

  • clear gift tin from Wal-Mart
  • patterned papers: Recollections Midnight Magic
  • stamps: Verve "Boo To You" - I paper pieced the darling little pumpkin so that the lines on the tag I used would not be visible (if I coloured it with my Copics). The sentiment is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black. (the stamp set is 10% off during the August Anniversary sale)

Thanks for stopping by - and I hope I'm not causing any panic about Hallowe'en coming soon with my little project!
