April Cross Canada Blog Hop

Hi folks.

Welcome to the April Cross Canada Blog Hop featuring creations from across Canada using the Shinhan Touch Twin Markers from Close To My Heart. There are 24 colours available in addition to a colorless blender.

If you've arrived from Caroline's post, then you are in the right place. If you would like to start at the beginning and travel from the East Coast to the West Coast, then you can start here

Today, I'm sharing a collection of cards featuring these birds from the "Some Kinda Wonderful" Thin Cuts Cardmaking bundle. As you can see, I coloured them with an assortment of  the Shinhan markers to match the colours in the paper collection.

And created this bunch of encouragement note cards.

And did you notice that complementary swoosh of colour on the sentiment? Yep - the markers aren't just for colouring. One of my favourite ways to use them is to add a pop of colour to an otherwise plain black stamped sentiment!

To purchase any of the items you see along the hop today, be sure to contact your local consultant!

Now, off you go to your next stop on the Cross Canada Hop - Sue's Sparkly Stampin.

If you get lost along the way, you can stop by Michelle's Blog as she has the entire list of this month's participants.

Thanks for hopping with us this month. Be sure to stop by again next month on the 15th when we will be featuring creations with our NEW favourite paper collections!

Always be your own kind of Wonderful

Hi folks,

Boy I've been a slack blogger of late! So much going on that I just keep forgetting to post the cards that I have been making. Anyways, I'm back today to share the third card I made when I was playing with my new Shinhan Touch Twin Markers from Close to My Heart.

And here's a close-up so you can see how the wings on the butterfly have been popped up.

Notice the shading on the wings? That was achieved with just two markers - Turquoise Blue and Peacock Green.

Hello Hello Hello

So did you sing that in a little sing-song voice? I can't help myself. I did.

I realized tonight that I have a few cards waiting in the wings that I have not yet shared here on the blog-arooni. So I'm here to remedy that over the next few days.

Up first is this little birdie card that I made so I could try out the new Shinhan Touch Twin markers from Close to My Heart.

card details:

  • finished size: 5x5 white card stock base, CTMH Pear card stock mats
  • patterned paper: CTMH Lollydoodle
  • stamps: CTMH B1458 Cuddly Salutations (one of the hostess rewards stamp sets in the new idea book). The sentiment is stamped in CTMH Slate ink and the birds are coloured with Shinhan Touch Twin markers (Tender Pink, Cherry Pink, Turquoise Blue, Peacock Green)
  • embellishments: CTMH Flamingo Dots
  • the birds are popped up on dimensional foam tape
