You're the Best

I'm back today to share the second card from the CTMH Happy Thoughts cardmaking workshop your way.

Again, even though this workshop uses papers from the Cats & Bats collection, the card is not at all Hallowe'en-y.

The kit instructions recommend using the Basic Tags Thin Cuts. Mine are on the way so I improvised by just cutting my paper appropriately.

I think I'll make another version of the card - using the other side of the orange paper - the black diagonal stripe as I think that would look quite elegant. And maybe swap either the pink or grey cardstock for the glittery bashful or silver paper..

Today I'm sharing a thank you card from the CTMH "Kind Thoughts" card making Workshop Your Way.

Hard to believe these papers are from the Hallowe'en themed Cats & Bats Collection! I must say, I quite like how the card-making workshops for the themed paper collections are often not at all related to the season for which they were originally intended.

And, even though the kit recommends the Thin Cuts Scallop Border die, I'm here to tell you that if you have our older scallop border punch in your crafting arsenal then you can still replicate the look as I did above. I JUST ordered my die cut last week so it hasn't arrived yet but I really wanted to make this card so I just pulled out the punch instead!

And, though the kit recommends watercolouring the flower image, I coloured mine with my Copic markers. So - use what you have! If you aren't comfortable with watercolours, use your pencils or your favourite markers!
