Sorry not a lot of chit-chat....it's been a long week and I am just exhausted. And also frustrated that Picasa is no longer working on my laptop since it has been upgraded to the latest and greatest version of  ubuntu. No more Linux support for Picasa and it is not playing well when I try launching the windows version with Wine. oh well. C'est la vie.

I did a quick edit on this image with Shotwell but could not figure out how to watermark my image. Will have to get my trusty tech support (my oh-so patient sweetie) to install gimp for me so that I have something semi-decent to work with. Or maybe use my other laptop for photo editing. There IS always that option until it gets updated to the new version of ubuntu.

Anyway, hope you are all having a lovely day! Weekend is almost here...yay!

CPS 5th Anniversay - Day 5 Sketch

Hi folks,

back again with ANOTHER of the Valentine's Day cards for one of our nephews. You know what that means - it's another card featuring an image from The Greeting Farm.

Yes -  it's the same image I used for one of our other nephews, coloured exactly the same - though I prefer the way the hair on this one turned. Funny how you can colour muliple images at the same time and they still turn out differently.

Hi folks,

TGF Monday Funday #18

Hi folks,

well I took the time today to catch up on some of the Valentine's Day cards I have left to make. I finished nine today leaving three more to go for our nieces and nephews. Phew!

One of the cards I made today was this one....for one of our nephews. It's kind of hard to make a Valentine for a ten year old boy -- so I hope he isn't too upset with the pink!

card details:

  • stamped image: Wild Sprout Paul from the Roll Call Set by The Greeting Farm, coloured with Copic Markers (E0000, E000, E00, E01, E93, E30, E31, E55, R20, R24, R27, R29, E47)
  • patterned papers: Bo Bunny Crazy Love. I've totally been hoarding this paper. I first got some of it WAY back when I was on the DT for PaperWorksCo....back in 2010/2011!!
  • sentiment: CTMH Seasonal Celebrations
  • Cuttlebug 2-Step Heart Die and Martha Stewart Heart Confetti punch
  • layout: CPS 5th Anniversary Day 4

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you are all having a lovely weekend. I'll be back throughout the week with more of this year's Valentine's day cards.

An Eclipse Birthday

Hi folks,

for those of you who are fans of the Greeting Farm, be sure to check out their first ever SCS Customer Challenge. You have all weekend to load up your "movie" inspired creations for a chance to win any two of their clear stamp sets.

As it happens, this was a VERY well timed challenge for my card-making needs. A friend of mine who is a big Twilight fan has a birthday this weekend and I had picked up passes for the local movie cinema for her so she could go see the next movie in the series when it releases this coming week. So, I had it already planned to make her a Twilight inspired card...and here is what I came up with:

This original Wild Sprout Camille Digi (aka Bella) from The Greeting Farm was perfect. And a great partner to the Sparkly Edward card I gave her for a previous birthday!

card details:

  • finished size: 4.25 x 5.5 inches, black cardstock base
  • image: The Greeting Farm (this particular digi is no longer available but I think you can get it in rubber form). I'll have to come back to update the list of Copics I used to colour it.
  • sentiment: computer generated (I really wanted to play on one of the movie titles for the birthday greeting)
  • papers: Pink Paislee Bayberry Cottage
  • layout: November Sketch For You To Try

Hope you are all having a lovely weekend! Thanks for stopping by!
