Easter Anya

This is the Easter card I spent Saturday afternoon making for my dearly beloved.

The image is the digital stamp Easter Anya by the Greeting Farm with just a little mod. I "trimmed" her locks so that HER hairstyle more closely resembled MINE, right down to the colour. Well, sort of, truth be told, mine has more grey that mysteriously disappears from time to time!

If you have seen any of my earlier easter card postings you will recognize the papers and ribbons used here. Not sure why, but purple and yellow say Easter to me. Maybe it has something to do with the flowers that are peeking from the ground in my yard.

Now, the colours in the photo are a little off. Anya's dress is supposed to have a skirt that is CTMH Hydrangea in colour but I find it looks more blue in the photo. Oh well, blame Mr Easter Bunny for the picture quality. Not only did he NOT bring me a DSLR, he apparently forgot to get me ANY chocolate. Not even a CARD! In protest I walked to Starbucks this afternoon for a Grande Cappucino and a REALLY BIG cookie! It was as far as I could go from the house what with being chained with two pagers and all for the long weekend. Yes, a civil servant's job is SOOOO cushy {read with sarcasm}.

Did you notice that the bunny ears are fun-flocked? Had to do something to liven them up a little.

Phew...that was fast

The above card was a VERY quick make. By that I mean under 10 minutes, with a false start as I first did the background with the paper on the panel...doh! I *THOUGHT* I had another hour and a quarter before my dearly beloved left yesterday for a day of D&D ... but I was mistaken. I had about 15 minutes! So I ran up the stairs, grabbed some paper that was lying around from recent card makes and tossed this number together. Considering I find masculine birthday cards hard to make at the best of times, I think this quickie came out okay.

The sentiment is from Verve Stamps. No fancy schmancy nestabilities or cuttlebugging here...But I HAD to put on a little ribbon...well, two ribbons! But what the heck. I hope the birthday boy liked it okay. He was the host for the afternoon...well, for every D&D get-together actually.

After that quick make, a dear friend called to take me up on the offer (read: took pity on sad, lonesome me) and came over to craft the afternoon away. I did my enabling bit and hooked her on the cuttlebug and I got the bases for FOURTEEN christmas cards done. While WE were having fun, her awesome husband did hard labour doing a surprise favour for my dearly beloved by hefting a LOT...and I do mean A LOT of wood from our garage down into the basement. I'm betting his legs, arms and back are killing him today. Dearly beloved was in awe when he got home from D&D -- I did not take credit for moving the wood (tee hee) even though he woke me up to comment on the fact that it was no longer in the garage.

Anyways, time to make dearly beloved's easter card and maybe get some more work done on those christmas cards. I have limited mobility for the long weekend as I am stuck on call for THREE 24/7 systems so there will be much crafting this weekend. I'm hoping to work on Quilt-zilla tomorrow and monday. We shall see.

Hope the Easter bunny fills your basket with lots of chocolatey goodness....or peeps....mmmm....peeps.....microwaved peeps.....yes, I have had some already today!

Pot Of Blooms

This card was made using the Technique Lover's Challenge TLC215 over at SplitCoastStampers. The blooms are cut using my new Shapeabilities. The easter eggs along the bottom are a stamped image from Pink Cat Studio. The folded over edge of the pot is punched with the EK-Success border punch scalloped diamonds.

Easter Bunny Basket

This Easter card was made for my dearly beloved's Dad and step-mom. The image is from Pink Cat Studio, coloured with my CTMH and Chalk Writer markers and popped up on nestabilities panels. More paper from my {scrap} stash!

Happy Easter to my Sister

This pretty in pink number is for my sister for Easter. The image is from Pink Cat Studio, coloured with my Chalk Writer Markers to pop up the colours and popped up on the panels that were cut with my nestabilities. The pink background is cuttlebugged.

More Easter goodness

These are the cards I made for my nieces and nephew back in Newfoundland. I kept them all fairly simple. This one uses that cute little bunny from Pink Cat Studio again.

This one uses a bunny image from CTMH. The sentiment is Pink Cat Studio.

This little bunny is from the same CTMH set. I believe it is "Some Bunny Loves You". The papers are CTMH.
This last one also uses the bunny from Pink Cat Studio.

These cards were a good excuse to use my nestabilities for the panels.

Hoppy Easter

This is the Easter card I sent to my brother and his girlfriend. I love this little bunny from Pink Cat Studio. The sentiment is from the same set. I do think that yellow and purple are my favourite colour combination for easter cards. There is something so happy about those colours. That and the crocuses that are now peeking out from the flower beds in my front yard are yellow.

The sketch is from the January 2009 issue of Sheetload of Cards. The papers are from my stash {of scraps!}.

Mr Bunny was coloured with my CTMH markers using a blending pen.
