The Stamps I Use

Wasn't that a party!

Boy am I pooped today - but it is a good kind of pooped! PaperWorksCo launched a whole bunch of new stamps last night.

One of my projects for the night was this card featuring Sammy the Snake from the new Jungle Jesters line.

I think Sammy gives snakes a good name. He is just ssssso darn cute.

You will notice that I used the Basic Grey Offbeat Collection papers on all of my paper projects for the night. For some reason, this paper has been calling my name for all sorts of projects. I guess I am getting caught up in all the "retro" I keep seeing out there in the blog-o-sphere. I think I {may} also be getting comfortable with the idea of stepping out of my comfort-zone and challenging myself to use funky patterns and combinations.

Over the course of this long weekend, I'll try to get posts up here on my blog with the details for each of my projects. Why I didn't prepare them when I finished the projects I don't know...I CAN be goober sometimes.

Mind you, I do have a lot of things on the go right now....like getting ready to go get some food for my fur-babies. I hate the Kanata Centrum shopping district. Whoever "planned" that area should have their license/diploma/certification revoked and be forced to drive through there on a Saturday afternoon!

Hope you have a lovely long weekend!

Getting Excited

Yay! The long weekend is almost here. I am so psyched!

Let's see
- I stopped by Heather's on the way home from work today and picked up my Michael Strong Christmas Tree stamp so I can make some more of those cards we did at the Make and Take. Of course, that wasn't the ONLY think I walked out with - a nice big set of Cornish Heritage Farms Christmas sentiments...perfect for those cards!

- at 6PM MST (that's 8PM for those of us in Ontario), the PaperWorksCo launch party starts! I can't wait to hear your comments about what everyone has created! Heck, I can't wait to see what everyone ELSE has created. If their creations are anything like the last release .... it should be a good one!

- and it's the long weekend...and the weather looks like it is going to be nice. Sadly, I can't go anywhere since I am STILL on call for another two weeks so, I have advised dearly beloved that if he wants to go motorcycling with his friends, he need not feel guilty. I have tons of new things to play with in the craft room and I REALLY REALLY want to work on my brother's quilt. ...and I am reading the last book in the Twilight series now so....that has to get finished this weekend as well. Plus, all my CTMH goodies should be arriving next week as well as some lovely little card boxes from Taylored Expressions. So....I REALLY REALLY should try to make some room for all my new goodies!

Anyways, that is all for tonight....see you tomorrow night for the big launch!

Still MORE new stamps releasing in September

Apparently ALL my favourite stamp companies decided to gang up on my pocketbook in September. I just read ANOTHER post about some new stamps....from the DOODLEFACTORY!!!!

If you check out this post from their blog you will find out how you can win the new release!

There's also a chance to win by participating in a sketch challenge they are sponsoring. All the details are in the above noted post....

Best of luck to everyone!

Pink Cat Studio - Hallowe'en Release is coming!

Did you see the news that Pink Cat Studio is releasing their Hallowe'en Stamps on September 16th?

You just know they will be cute, right?

Anyways, check out this post to find out the details about how you could win them!

Best of luck!

A few more things to round out the day...

Ah....it's been a busy day. I finally had the chance to take some photos of the card I made at Heather's on Saturday - please forgive my goofs!

See...in this picture you can see that I did NOT pay attention to Heather's instructions to reinsert the slider BEFORE punching the hole for the ribbon. Yeah, and my eyeballing the centre was off. Grrr.....

But it is still a pretty card! Love those Smooch paints. I think they will get added to my colouring medium selection.....

And this is what the slider card looks like in action....Heather had us add a little levity to the gorgeous fall card with this cute little cow and the sentiment "cow's it going?"... tee hee hee....

Did you see my OTHER goof?....I didn't do such a good job stamping my cow. I missed his feet! So I coloured them in with a marker after.

I do like this card...very neat I think.

Let's see ... what else is up? Oh yes....I've been busy in the craft room making projects for the September 4th launch for PaperWorksCo. I'm sure Peggy will be teasing for the remainder of the week about what is coming! So, hopefully your long weekend plans will include tuning in to the launch on Friday night and checking out the surprises she has in store. I'm sure the rest of the team will have amazing projects for you to see. I won't brag about my OWN creations ... you can be the judge on release night.

Thanks for stopping by...hope to have some new creations for you soon!

September is here....

and so is the September Papercard Kit from PaperWorksCo. Ooooohhhh....aaaaaahhhh. Isn't it pretty?

Want to see the first card I made with it? It's over at this post over at the PaperWorksCo Blog! But here is a little sneaky peeky....

Can you guess what I used on this card?

Thanks for stopping by!
