Hi there....so are you sick of leftover turkey yet? Well, I had my favourite part of the turkey - the turkey sandwich - today ..... yummm. You know what else is really tasty? Homemade cranberry sauce with sweetened plain yogurt. mmmmmm. Well, I find it tasty.

Today I thought I should show you four more of the cards we made at Jenn's workshop.


Don't you just love those stripes and that pretty, decorated clear button? What a way to dress up a button - with a matching DP!



Aren't the paper pieced trees on the above card just perfect mixed in with the stamped trees?

And I love this star on the card shown below:


And on this one I love the combination of the stamped ornament and the popped up ornament.


Kudos to Jenn for the designs she came up with for us for this workshop. I must say that I am NEVER disappointed with the projects she comes up with for me and my friends.

Hi folks,

Hope my fellow Canadians had a fabulous Thanksgiving Day weekend. I spent lots of time cleaning up the gardening, visiting my dearly beloved's family, vegging and a LITTLE time paper-crafting. Today's creations are not from this past weekend but from the PREVIOUS weekend.

As you may or may not know, we had quite the gathering at my house on WCMD - eight of us making Christmas cards designed by the fabulous Jenn .

This is the adorable box we decorated to hold the completed set of cards:



Isn't it just ADORABLE with gigantic capital letters? You might wonder why I say Jenn is fabulous. Simple enough - you see those felt embellies on the stocking? Yup THOSE - they totally MAKE the stocking. Well Jenn the Fabulous actually made all of them - for ALL of us (and the three others that couldn't make it that day) - hand cut and stitched. The girl is amazing!

Don't you just love the colours on these cards? The papers are all from the Jingle Paper Pack from CTMH. I have it on good authority that Jenn is hosting another workshop at her house on Nov 14 for anyone who might be interested - I do believe that in addition to cards, that the workshop will also involve some scrapbooking layouts.

Sadly, I won't be able to attend. I'll be visiting my family in Newfoundland.

Anyways, that's all for today. I may be back tomorrow with another post with four more of the card we made. But now, I have to get back to making snowflakes.....

Caution - Construction Zone

That's the name of the stamp set I used for this card for my dearly beloved's three year old nephew.



After all, what three year-old boy doesn't love construction toys? I got this stamp set from The Little Paper Shop some time ago and this was the first time I had the chance to ink it up. There are three different construction vehicles in the set, along with signs and some neat sentiments. I actually coloured up all three vehicles but decided only one was needed on the card.

Don't you love that sandpaper makes a neat and tidy substitute for real sand on a card. No mess to clean up!

PaperWorksCo UCC5

Hi again!

Have you seen my UCC5 challenge over at PaperWorksCo yet? Well, my challenge to Peggy (and anyone else who would like to play) this week is to make a card using:

• button(s): one or more and
• a decorative border. You can create a pretty edge using decorative craft scissors, distressing, your spellbinders borderabilities, corner rounders (for scallops), your favourite template, cuttlebug embossing borders, ribbons, punches - whatever your creative mind decides upon!

I actually made two cards - same layout, same sentiment, but different images and papers.

This first one is featured over at the PaperWorksCo blog in the challenge post. You can find all the details over there.

The second one uses one of my left-over fairy images from a couple of cards I made earlier this summer. I thought the colours on this image would work quite nicely with the Bella papers from CTMH.




As you can see, both cards use buttons and both have a scalloped edge on the bottom patterned paper.

The sketch I used is this week's sketch from 2 Sketches For You .

PaperworksCo UCC4

Hi there,

so did any of you find the time to take part in the UCC4 challenge over at PaperWorksCo this week?

I managed to get two cards made - both using the same simple layout but for different occasions.

This first one uses one of the new stamps that was launched last night.

I also made this Thanksgiving card. I think this one will go to my dearly beloved for Thanksgiving.


You will notice I am using one of my extra horn of plenty images that I had used on a previous challenge. Hate to waste creative effort! By the way - the papers I used are from an Autumn Mat Stack from Recollections that I picked up at Michael's a couple of weeks back (on sale of course!).

You can probably guess from a lot of my recent projects that I REALLY like my Labels 8 die from Spellbinders. It has been getting quite the workout the last couple of weeks!

Christmas Stamp Launch at PaperWorksCo

Phew-wee! So did you have a chance to check out the new stamp line launch over at PaperWorksCo last night?

I contributed projects for three of the six new images. You can see all of the projects over at the blog . Just scroll down through all of the posts from throughout the night.

My project for "Charlotte's Holiday Mail" was a journal in which you can keep track of the people to whom you have sent or from whom you have received Christmas cards. I based this on a section from a Holiday Planner I got a few years ago.








My second project uses "Jacob's Cookies for Santa" and is an altered take-out box for...you guessed it....a gift of cookies from the kitchen!



I just had to play with my new poinsettia die cut from Spellbinders for a bit of a wow factor on the lid.



My final project was with the uber-cute "Under the Mistletoe" stamp. This was my first time making an easel card and I must say, I like the style.
