Craft with Heart - Something Fierce January Layouts

Hi folks

So who out there has been thinking of trying out the Craft with Heart subscription from Close to My Heart?

I have the full year subscription which started back in September but I am just now getting around to putting together the layouts. I started with the January layouts featuring Something Fierce and, as someone who rarely scrapbooks, am VERY impressed with how quickly the Cut Above layouts came together.

I followed the instructions for the kits - no getting creative for me - yet! But I'm hoping to build my scrapbooking confidence with these kits so maybe I'll get brave and put my own twist on some of them.

As always, thanks for stopping by!

Something Fierce - Launch Event Scrapbook Layouts

Hi folks,

In yesterday's post, I mentioned the projects from the launch event I attended for the current Seasonal Expressions Idea Book. Well, I am back today to share the two, double page scrapbook layouts from that event!

Can you believe it? I made scrapbook layouts!

Of course, I left the photo and journal area blank as these may be gifted instead of kept. For now they are safely residing in their page protectors in a scrapbook album.

As always, thanks for stopping by!

Something Fierce - A few more cards

Hi folks,

Back in December I had the opportunity to attend a launch event for the current Seasonal Expressions Idea Book. I was only able to attend for part of the event so I didn't get my projects finished until recently.

So - today I'm sharing the cards! All of them were quick, easy makes that used not only the Something Fierce papers but also the complements.

Up first - this pretty pink card! Not a dinosaur in sight!

This card? All strips from the complements pack!

And here we go - dinosaur front and centre. I'm thinking this one could work for a kid OR an adult celebrating a birthday milestone.

As always, thanks for stopping by!

January Cross Canada Blog Hop with CTMH

Hi folks!

Welcome to our January Cross Canada Blog Hop featuring the Something Fierce collection from Close To My Heart. Whether you are a scrap-booker or card-maker, both of these collections have something for you.

If you've just hopped onto my blog, then you CAN start here as this is a circular hop, but if you want to follow us across Canada, then please start at the beginning at Michelle's blog. If you came from Nicky's blog then you are in the right place!

I'm featuring a birthday card using this collection and sentiments from the Years of Sweetness stamp set.

I haven't put a sentiment inside it yet. I'm reserving that for when it is gifted. I figure this card could work for a child with a nice birthday sentiment OR for someone celebrating a milestone birthday with a cheeky reference to being as old as the dinosaurs! tee hee.

That's it for me! Up next is Diana!

Remember - if you get lost you can always head back to Michelle's blog as she has the full list of participants.

Thanks for hopping along with us - we hope we are able to inspire you in some way. If so, please leave us a comment as we love to hear back from the hoppers! We hope you are able to join us again next month. So be sure to mark February 10th on your calendar. And don't forget, you can reach out to your local consultant to purchase any of the items you see on the hop today!

As always, thanks for stopping by!

Happy Happy Birthday with CTMH Grateful Heart

Hi folks,

Just stopping in to share another recent make - another late birthday card. That seems to be my routine of late.

I used papers from the CTMH Grateful Heart Collection. The stamp is from the "Epic Birthday" card making kit.

As always, thanks for stopping by!

Love you more than you will ever know

Hi folks,

Just thought I would share the Christmas card I made for dearly beloved this year.

I'm still trying to find my card-making mojo - it's buried somewhere in the mess that is my craft room.

But I hope to find it in the next few days as I try to put the room back into some semblance of order. There may even be a relocation in the works - we're contemplating swapping the craft room with the exercise room to give me more space. Considering I've already annexed the exercise room for some stamp and fabric storage that might make sense. I was holding off on it because we ultimately want to get rid of the carpet on the 2nd floor. But, that hasn't happened yet so -- it might be time. We shall see.

Anyways - Merry Christmas all!

October Cross Canada Blog Hop

Hi folks!

Welcome to our October Cross Canada Blog Hop featuring the Hello Pumpkin and Grateful Heart collections from Close To My Heart. Whether you are a scrap-booker or card-maker, both of these collections have something for you.

If you've just hopped onto my blog, then you CAN start here as this is a circular hop, but if you want to follow us across Canada, then please start at the beginning at Michelle's blog. If you came from Michelle's  then you are in the right place!

I'm featuring a birthday card using the Hello Pumpkin collection. If you are familiar with the kits in the new idea book, you will see that I took inspiration for this card from the "Epic Birthday" card kit. I quite liked the way the sentiment panel was created on one of the cards in the kit so I somewhat replicated it on my card.

That's it for me! Up next is Diana.

Remember - if you get lost you can always head back to Michelle's blog as she has the full list of participants.

Thanks for hopping along with us - we hope we are able to inspire you in some way. If so, please leave us a comment as we love to hear back from the hoppers!
