Let the Christmas cards continue

Hi folks,

Well, I'm definitely in catch up mode sharing all of these Christmas cards I've been making since the pajama crop back in October so forgive me if I bombard you over the next few days with more and more Christmas cards from my marathon card making sessions.

This card is one of the 16 I made for the Christmas card swap at the crop. 12 of them were swapped, and I kept four for myself.

It's been a while since I made it so I'm not 100% sure of the usual details but here's my go at remembering

card details:

  • finished size: 4.25 x 5.5 inches, white card stock base
  • patterned paper: CTMH Snowhaven
  • stamps: CTMH
  • embellishments: adhesive gems
As always thanks for stopping by!

'Tis The Season Cut Above Tag Kit

Hi folks,

Do you find yourself searching for a  last minute for a tag to put on your gifts?

Well, CTMH has the perfect solution for you with the 'Tis The Season Cut Above Tag kit.

The kit comes with everything you see above - ready to add some glam to your seasonal gift giving.

The kit makes ten elegant tags (as shown in the upper right corner of the photo).

The suggested mini stamps to use with this kit are Mini Christmas , Happiest Holidays, Mini Joy (all of which are available in English, French, and Spanish) and Merry & Bright. Of course, you can feel free to use any stamps you already have in your collection to finish off these tags. Personally, I think these tags can be used all year round, not just for Christmas.

Since I'm a card maker, I decided to use my tag kit to make some Christmas cards to add to my stash. I thought that these tags would pair really well with the papers in the Oh Deer! collection and came up with these ten cards.

Easy peasy!

As always, thanks for stopping by!

Thank you… now on to our hop!

If you have just hopped onto my blog, you can start here as this is a circular hop, but if you want to follow our team's blogs, then please start at the beginning and join Michelle Hughes at "The Right Hughes".

I have a few creations to share with you today. I've been on a bit of a card-making binge recently thanks to a couple of crops I attended where I devoted my crafty time to making Christmas cards. And even after the crops were finished I kept making cards the rest of the weekend. I'm now up to 100 Christmas cards made for my stash this year.

The cards I'm sharing with you today are the most recent five - that brought me up to that magic number of 100!

For this card I used the Snowflakes embossing folder to give my card base some pop. Then I mounted one of the stickers from the City Sidewalks Complements onto a couple of coordinating card stock mats and popped it up with some foam tape. Added one of the sentiment stickers and there you go! An easy peasy card!

For these next three cards I used the Snowman pieces from the Cozy Christmas Thin Cuts Bundle to build my own snowmen. Of course, the sentiment is from the same set. I added a bit of sparkle with some silver shimmer trim on two of the cards and with a snowflake from the complements pack. Three more quick cards for the stash!

And then just because I liked this design so much (it's the Viva La Verve November Week 1 Sketch), I made a horizontal version as well.

I used the scallop border punch to add a little detail to the card stock mat on this one and rounded the corners of my centre panel to tie it all together. The layout is from Mojo Monday 468.

And for this last card I went a little bigger - this is a 5 x 7 card made using one of the 4 x 6 PML cards from the City Sidewalks paper pack. I mounted it on a piece of coordinating card stock, stamped the sentiment and die cut the trees from the Cozy Christmas Thin Cuts bundle. Another quick and easy card!

I still have a few PML cards to use up so you can expect to see those show up as Christmas cards as well!

Up next, is Brandi Robinson at crzy4scrapbooking!

If you get lost along the way, you can head to Michelle Hughes at "The Right Hughes" as she has the complete blog list.

Thanks for hopping along with us - we hope we were able to inspire you to get creative using some of the designs, products and techniques seen along the way.

'Tis The Season Cut Above Card Kit

Hi folks,

Have you started making your Christmas cards yet for this year? Need a quick way to get a few ready for mailing? Then be sure to check out the Cut Above 'Tis The Season card kit from CTMH.

The kit comes with everything you see above - ready to make 10 Christmas cards. All you need to supply is your favourite adhesive and stamps and these cards come together in no time at all.

The suggested mini stamps to use with this kit are Mini Christmas , Happiest Holidays, Mini Joy (all of which are available in English, French, and Spanish) and Merry & Bright. Of course, you can feel free to use any stamps you already have in your collection to finish off these cards.

Here's the cards I made with my kit at the crop I attended this past weekend. I switched up the orientation and sentiment on each of the cards so they would all be different but that's just my own preference. No harm in making all of them the same!

I'm thinking of replicating this idea on some more cards - not just for Christmas. A coloured card base, white pigment ink stamping and then a fun plaid in the centre with a flashy sentiment panel. It would be so easy peasy to whip up some thank you cards or birthday cards for the stash!

As always, thanks for stopping by!

Jeepers Creepers cards from the Pajama Crop

Hi folks,

Last night was the annual pajama crop at Algonquin College. This year, the organizer challenged the attendees to make and donate a card to a card drive for Ronald McDonald House.

I wound up donating seven cards! Here are five that I made using the Jeepers Creepers papers. Some of them are lifted/inspired by the bonus card projects from the Jeepers Creepers WYW.

I'm hoping that the kids who receive them smile.
