Happy Easter

Hi folks,

Just popping in to wish everyone a Happy Easter and to share the card I made for my dearly beloved (to accompany his special selection of Easter chocolates from a local, award-winning chocolate shop - Hummingbird Chocolate).

card details:

  • finished size: 4.25 x 5.5 inches, white card stock base
  • patterned paper: CTMH Chelsea Gardens + Juniper card stock
  • stamps: Image: Easter Basket coloured with Shinhan Markers; Sentiment: Chelsea Gardens Cardmaking
  • embellishments: CTMH Whimsy Ribbon Pack (psst. from a recent corporate update, it would appear that the Whimsy line will be revamped with the release of the new Annual Expressions later this year. So, if there are certain colours you absolutely adore in this colour family, you might want to stock up to avoid disappointment if those colours are discontinued).

Love You Tons

Hi folks,

I'm still back on the paper-crafting wagon so today I'm sharing only the THIRD card I have managed to make in 2018 - a birthday card for my dearly beloved.

At the last crop I attended back in November, one of my favourite local craft shops (The Embellished Connection) had a vendor presence. I'm always happy to see them there as they always have fun stamps for me to add to my collection. I bought quite a few stamp and die combos from Lawn Fawn at the event. This cute little elephant set was just one of them.

Should I confess that I think this paper is a collection from 2013 and it is my first time using it??? Methinks I have been ignoring a LOT of my craft supplies.

Anyways, thanks for stopping by!

Is and Always Will Be Yours

Hi folks

It's been a couple of weeks since my last post so I figure it's time to share the second card I have made so far this year. That's right - still no card-making! Quilting instead!

This is a card I made for my dearly beloved for Valentine's day. The image and sentiment are from Unity Stamp Co, the papers are from Close To My Heart.

A Vintage Masculine Birthday

Hi folks,

Well, I've been having a hard time getting in to the mood to make cards this year. One of my other hobbies (quilting) has been using the bulk of my crafting mojo instead. I'm not going to fret about it - just go with the flow. Maybe I'll start updating this blog with my quilting adventures - there seems to be a LOT more of them lately. Stay tuned!

I figure though that it is about time I share one of the two cards I have so far this year. This is one that I made for my Dad's birthday back in January.

I used a bunch of supplies from my stash for this one.

  • kraft cardstock base
  • Authentique papers
  • the vintage masculine image is from Unity Stamp Co
  • the Happy Birthday sentiment is from CTMH
  • I *think* the Dad sentiment is from Verve
  • the twine is from my stash
  • the shipping tag was no doubt a freebie from one of my Unity KOM orders. I must say - I REALLY like using shipping tags for my stamped images these days - especially if I am not colouring them.
  • layout: Viva La Verve January Sketch

Mermaids Making Waves

Hi folks,

Just thought I would pop in and share another card using the Make Waves papers from CTMH.

And yes, it has the mermaids!

I was surprised when I went to load this paper. This was the last card I made in 2017. And, if I'm not mistaken, I've only made one card so far in 2018.  It's probably safe to say that one of my other hobbies has been keeping me busy. I'll probably share some of THOSE projects soon as well.

CTMH Make Waves Magical Birthday Card

Hi folks,

I've been quite negligent in posting my card makes of late. Anyways, here's one I made some time ago featuring the Make Waves paper collection from CTMH.

And not a single mermaid in sight!!

As always, thanks for stopping by!
